Derek Grantham

BVM&S MRCVS

Derek joined the practice in 1968 after graduating from Edinburgh University in the same year. Derek combines his role as veterinary surgeon with that of practice manager. Areas of particular interest for Derek are lameness work ups, purchase vettings and he is also a measurer for the Joint Measurement Board. Derek is a member of the Management Committee for Endurance GB. He also attended the 2003 European Junior Endurance Championships as GB Team Vet.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Mark Andrews

B.V.M&S, Cert E.P, M.R.C.V.S                                           

Mark graduated from Edinburgh University in 1979. He holds a Certificate in Equine Practice, which underlines his knowledge and experience in the fields of equine diagnosis and treatment. As well as Market Rasen races Mark also attends Doncaster races in a professional role. Mark specialises in equine stud work, lameness work ups and purchase vettings.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Norrie Chapman

BVSc, MRCVS

Norrie joined the practice in the year 2000, after graduating from Liverpool University the same year. She has a particular interest in horses, having competed in Dressage as a Young Rider. Norrie specializes in the equine world. If your horse comes down with colic and requires surgery, it is her hands which will both open up and reseal your horse’s inners. Outside the workplace Norrie spends most of her time cultivating her garden / jungle and pursuing her dogs (Jerry and Max) around the countryside when some unknowing fool leaves the gate open.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Ann Hopkirk

MA VetMB CertSAO MRCVS

Ann qualified in 1990 from Cambridge University and has worked as a small animal vet ever since. In 1996 she gained the certificate in small animal orthopaedics, and joined Rase Vets in February 2002. Outside of work she enjoys photography, gardening, foreign travel and scuba-diving.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

                                                                                               

Archie Dodds

BVMS MRCVS

Archie graduated from Glasgow University in 1976 and rejoined the practice in 1999. Archie is the practice's  principle farm vet and has been visiting Lincolnshire's livestock for the past quarter of a century. In his spare time Archie is an enthusiastic horse man and a big fan of classical music.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Lisa Fowler

BVetMed MRCVS

After graduating from The Royal Veterinary College in London in 1999, Lisa joined the Rase Veterinary practice for 3 years before leaving for pastures new. The good news is that Lisa has now rejoined the team at Rase Vets. Lisa has a particular love for pigs and enjoys nothing more than a relaxing caravanning holiday in the countryside.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Jo Chickly

Jo recently joined the practice in Easter 2007 after qualifying in Belgium. Her main pursuit is classical music and her favourite name for a pet is Max. She has an academic interest in animals native to her home country of Belgium.

 

 

Nicole Stevenson

BVSc, MRCVS

Originally from Leicester, Nicole's first degree was in Biomedical science at Sheffield. She then went on to graduate from Liverpool University as a vet in 2005. Once graduated Nicole worked for two years in Lincoln. Her interests include walking her little dog Harry and attempting to ride her young horse, who will one day make a talented evener...once she has learnt to stop throwing her rider off!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Sara Bagheri

Sara graduated from The Royal Veterinary College, University of London in 2006 and soon afterwards joined the practice. Sara has a particular interest in horses.

Caroline Barton

BVM&S MRCVS

Caroline graduated from Edinburgh University in June 2003 and joined the practice the following year. Horse anaesthesia is of particular interest but perhaps riding shouldn't be, considering her recent record. Outside of work Caroline enjoys spending quality time with the softest dog in the world (known as Sally) and also enjoys training to be a stunt woman (which involves throwing herself from horses), and any film roles with this theme in mind, please get in touch.
